The Power of the Subconscious Mind

The Power of the Subconscious Mind

by Paula Robbins CCHt Denver, CO

Have you ever had a fear or anxiety that didn’t really make sense to you, or perhaps noticed a new behavior just after an impactful event in your life? Do you have certain habits that you don’t really understand why they are so hard to break? If you answered yes to either of these questions, then you are normal, human, and have a subconscious mind that is working as it should, not necessarily as you would like it, but as it should.

If it were easy to tap into our own subconscious, we could do almost anything. Imagine if you could simply just lose weight, or quickly heal from emotional wounds, or have permanent thoughts of prosperity affecting the law of attraction that is spoken about so much lately.

Many people have made very positive changes in their lives, sometimes abruptly, and others over time. Change is possible for anyone. The primary factor that creates certain behaviors or beliefs, to the positive or the negative, is the subconscious mind. No matter what the conscious mind thinks or feels, the subconscious is more powerful and will override it anytime.

How do you get to the subconscious to make the changes you want? There are actually many answers to this question. It is the pace that differs. You can start new behaviors and make them habits. You sometimes have impactful epiphanies or events that change you, like becoming a parent or ending a bad relationship. Some people have certain meditations or spiritual practices that support positive change. Hypnosis goes directly to the subconscious, and with the right suggestions and clearing, it can be immense. It all really depends how patient, willing and determined you are.

The bottom line is that you can change in any way you want. If you really want and are ready for a shift, there is a way to make the changes deep within. Sure, there is effort, but that is so with all things worthwhile. So, as you consider what shifts you would like to have happen in your ability to be prosperous, or healthy or perhaps just less stressed, listen to what those inner messages are. That is where you need to begin.
